Communicating and Collaborating
for Change |

The Austin Forum
Wednesday, Oct. 1
6 - 6:30 Networking
6:30 - 8:00 Presentation
Communicating and
Collaborating for Change:
Sending the Right Messages
about Engineering,
Information Technology, Math
and Science
Presented
by Tricia Berry
To
change the demographics of
engineers and scientists - to
increase the diversity of those
pursing science, technology,
engineering and mathematics
(STEM) fields - the conversation
must change. The engineering
and information technology
fields are shifting gears with
national organizations releasing
reports on effective messages,
providing research-based talking
points and launching marketing
campaigns to recruit and retain
more women and underrepresented
ethnic minorities.
Explore the messages, learn
about the collaborative
efforts and begin
communicating and
collaborating for change.
STEM professionals will
shape our future - be a part
of the transformation!
